We went to visit Troy and CJ's new place in Canada on Sunday. It was well worth the trip up North! They have a beautiful, unique home that suits them: beautiful and unique!
Nana and Poppa came up to watch the Twins Game for a really belated birthday celebration. But the rain stayed away and the Twins WON! Mom and Dad took the light rail in and when they returned to our apartment, we had lemon bars and ice cream to cool Mom down. She said the stadium is awesome, but they should think about including air conditioning for next year.
Finn and I went over to Maria's house to celebrate her belated birthday. She had just returned from visiting her family in Guatemala. We shared stories and Finn was so happy to see her again! He missed Maria and she missed him too!!
Finn, Nana, and I went over to the Benzkofer Reunion that happened this past week. We were finally able to meet all the Benzkofer grandkids - except Audrey because she napped the entire time we were there. It was great to catch up and hear about their travels. Sara and Finn even played catch with the SPAM beach ball!
Nanny and GiGi made it to MN!! Finn and I went down to Austin to welcome them home. GiGi had a great time at Finn's level and Nanny had him giggling nonstop! What fun we are going to have!!
What a gorgeous day for a gorgeous wedding! Jesse and Heather were married outside today and her family performed a wonderful song for their ceremony. There were hors d'oeuvres and a decadent desert table. It was lovely!
Susie came to visit us in Charleston before going back to DC for another school year. We had a lot of fun catching up, playing with the kids, and making new memories. She took a walking tour of the city and met with an old friend for pecan pie - YUM! We topped it off with a visit to the local Irish Pub where she had the UBER Irish meatloaf. So Fun!
What a wonderful ceremony! There was a lot of emotion and a couple of surprises for Jessica and Theron's big day. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up! Can't wait to do it again soon!!
We were able to meet up with Alison and Jovie Sue at the DQ in Norfolk, NE, on our way to Jessie and Theron's wedding. It was so great to catch up and hang out with the kiddos! Jovie is just a little peach!!
Gretchen and Greta stayed for the week and we were able to see Lindsey and Kieran, Sara and Aiden. Grandma and Grandpa Reetz came over for a spectacular rib dinner on the sun porch and Finn and Greta LOVED the SPAM beach ball! Thanks Nana and Poppa!!
