Wish for Kites and Shakespeare Festival

It was Erik's birthday so we met up with them for a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We went to the park where people were flying kites that they wrote their wishes on. They discovered that there was a Shakespeare Festival at the St. Paul Public Library because his birthday was the 23rd. They even had a sword fighting demonstration! Then we went to see Vlada's friend's show near the Bulldog. We topped it off with a coffee/tea/beer. Awesome times with awesome friends!

U-WI girls reunited

Amanda and Amber came to visit for Amanda's birthday weekend. We were so excited to see them. Finn had been looking forward to it all week :). Amber brought an awesome jungle jumper from Pam, their mom all the way to MN. We talked, played old school NES, and had fun being together.

We took Finn on a field trip to see the gorgeous spring flowers. It was heavenly! We had an awesome time delighting in new life and brilliant colors.

After guitar practice at church this morning, Ben and Finn had some great floor time together. Then they both took naps before Ben went in to work. What a super Saturday afternoon

Nana Sitting

Heaping praise to my mother who took care of Finn while Ben and I worked this week! She was amazing! Finn has decided to go on a hunger strike anytime I am not around; he is simply refusing the bottle. Her patience is infinite!

On the bright side, they had some great bonding time while Nana told stories and Finn had some great naps! Thanks Nana! Come again soon!

2 months!

Finn had his 2 month visit to the doctor yesterday. He weighed in at 15.2 lbs and is

25 1/2 inches! He is a happy, healthy baby!

Easter Weekend 2010

We spent a great weekend with Oma & Opa and the Winkels! Saturday we went to the Rainforest Cafe where the girls got balloon animals and then Uncle Ben took them on a behind the scenes tour at Underwater World! It was awesome!

Sunday we went over to the Winkels for Easter dinner after church. What a feast! Opa shared his wine, Gena made a wonderful spiral ham, potatoes, and green bean casserole...and a lovely cheesecake!

What a lovely, amazing weekend! He is Risen!

Dottie and Beth's Spring Break 2010 - MN!

Dottie and Beth came to spend Spring Break with us here in MN! The weather was beautiful and John even grilled brats outside while lil' Ben and I played in the yard...that is until the man across the street drove out on his riding lawn mower. Ben was mesmerized!

John & Sarah hosted us and we had a lovely time hanging out, catching up, and playing with the boys. Ben and Sam shared some floor time and Finn checked it out after they were done. Beth gave us lots of great tips! She even helped put together Finn's bookshelf after a girls outing to IKEA.
